My name is Gitte Graver and I am 49 years old. I live in the south-western part of Denmark, in a small village called Spandet, close to the ancient city of Ribe. I am educated as a nurse and worked as such in Denmark, Norway and in The Netherlands. Some years ago I stopped working as a nurse and has just celebrated my 10th years anniversary as a full time artist. My inspiration comes from daily life, from the music, the sunshine, the elegance and lightness of a butterfly and from the sense of liberty when I see the flight of birds. The combination of glass and painting is very exiting and brings me further in mixing colour and sculpturing, taking chances where I never before had the courage and trust to succeed.
